With strong ties to the community, 100 majors and certificates and over 1,200 specialized training opportunities, Rhodes State is not only the smartest educational option in West Central Ohio, but also one of the fastest-growing two-year colleges in the country.

The college prepares students for entry into careers, develops the regional workforce through credit and non-credit occupational training, and offers curricular programs that prepare students for transfer completion baccalaureate programs at selected colleges and universities. With over 3,600 students, the college’s core institutional values of integrity, caring, responsibility, respect, and quality guide its policies and practices.


In the nearly 50 years since Rhodes State College opened its doors in Lima, over 50,000 individuals have taken classes to advance their careers. Students can choose from a variety of programs, including those in the Northwest Ohio Allied Health Consortium. The programs in the Consortium utilize the latest technological advancements available in the health field taught by highly qualified instructors. Each student will have hands-on experience at healthcare institutions which partner with Rhodes State College. The application of knowledge and technology used in the programs prepare students to meet the demands of today’s diverse healthcare environments and complex patient care.
