Rhodes State College - Lima, Ohio

College Overview - www.terra.edu

Terra State has proudly served northwest Ohio as a leading educational institution for over 50 years. We are accredited, state supported, and provide our community members educational experiences that are both accessible and affordable. We pride ourselves in helping students reach their goals while staying true to the community college mission of providing open access to higher education.

Students at Terra State experience learning from an outstanding faculty that boasts years of field experience in the area they are teaching. The average class size is 15 students, making you more than a face in the crowd. Small class sizes mean faculty members get to know their students, providing individualized attention and assistance. With more opportunities for one-on-one interaction, many of our students connect with faculty as mentors, receiving valuable educational, career and life advice.

No matter what career inspires you, technology will also be a part of it. That’s why Terra State features state-of-the-art facilities and labs, cutting-edge equipment, the latest software and more. Classes can be taken in the traditional classroom setting or online, which provides students the flexibility to learn on their schedule. Students also gain valuable hands-on experience that translates to the real world situations they will experience after graduation. The College will help students enter the high demand fields of Computer Systems, Digital Media Technology, Electrical, Health Information Technology, Business Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Music Technology, Office Administration, Robotics, Welding and more.

Terra State also gives students the full college experience by being only the second community college in Ohio to offer student housing. The Landings at Terra Village opened in the fall of 2018. The 200-bed on-campus student residence has four room options – 1-bed studio, 2-bed single, 2-bed double and 4-bed. All units have their own living, kitchen and bathroom areas. Rent is all-inclusive, including cable and internet, and the all rooms are fully furnished.

Terra State Community College will continue its legacy of learning by helping you create your future. If you want to be better prepared to start or continue your education, begin by visiting terra.edu.
