The allied heath programs offered by the Northwest Ohio Allied Health Education Consortium provide an outstanding educational experience for anyone striving to improve the health of others. The consortium offers more degree options along with a seamless educational experience by combining the resources of the four member institutions – Marion Technical College, Northwest State Community College, Rhodes State College and Urbana University. In other words, you can complete a degree in any one of the allied health programs while attending the institution closest to you. Associates degrees are available in the following allied health programs: Respiratory Care, Radiographic Imagining, Medical Laboratory Technician, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant and Health Information Technology. You can even choose to continue you education and complete a bachelor’s degree in one of these programs.

Marion Technical College

Students interested in respiratory care or occupational therapy assistant programs can complete their degree through Marion Technical College. The average MTC student is 27 years old and the majority of graduates find work in their field of study in the Marion area. Their Nursing, MLT, Radiography and PTA graduates typically exceed the Ohio and national average on certification / licensure examinations.

Northwest State Community College

Northwest State Community College offers the following allied healthcare programs in Archbold, Ohio: Respiratory Care, Radiographic Imaging, Medical Laboratory, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Ninety-seven percent of their graduates either find a job in their field or choose to transfer into a four-year degree program.

Rhodes State College

Students attending anyone of the consortium institutions can learn the skills necessary to become a Medical Laboratory Technician from this program at the Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio. Rhodes State offers 100 majors and certificates and over 1,200 specialized training opportunities to their students. Not only does this make Rhodes State the smartest educational option in West Central Ohio, but also one of the fastest-growing two-year colleges in the country.

Urbana University

Two allied health programs are available through this Urbana, Ohio university - Respiratory Care and Radiographic Imaging. Urbana University is conveniently located less than an hour away from Columbus and Dayton and is ranked as one of the least expensive private universities in Ohio. Urbana’s nearly 1,500 enrolled students are offered cutting edge programs that help them acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the career path of their choice.
